Stroke and Turn Judges
Hello Swim Family,
We are in need of some more Stroke and Turn Officials. According to the GCSL, we currently only have a few personnel qualified personnel for 20+ shifts. The training is online, laid back but informative, and the test is not difficult.
Stroke and Turn Officials have one of the best views pool side when watching our young athletes perform. Our roles are integral with helping the Coaches and Swimmers find areas where they need to improve. Our position requires being non-biased and professional during the meets. However, we are all volunteers attempting to do our best and that is all I ask, so cheer on your kids when they are swimming! Remember, benefit of any doubt always goes to the swimmer.
If this is your first year and you would like to shadow someone at first, that can be arranged and I would encourage it.
Also, there is starter training if you would like to qualify. I'm always happy to split a shift, provide training, or receive some backup from my peers.
