Meet #2 - WAT @ PARK (Please Read)
Waverunners,
Please see the email from Woodlands of Parkview below. Pay particular attention to the arrival time, parking directions, warm up schedule & routine, and sitting arrangement! The heat sheet is attached on this email as well as on our website under “Swim Meet Info”.
Pool Location:
Woods of Parkview
1 Planters Dr SW, Lilburn, GA 30047
Parking Information:
The parking lot is small, so please use street parking on the side without “No Parking” signs. We’ve reserved a space in the lot for your team council. See the attached aerial photo and parking directions for details. **NO PARKING IS ALLOWED PAST THE WOODEN RAILROAD TIES OF THE CENTER ISLAND. BOTH SIDES MUST BE KEPT CLEAR AS THIS IS A FIRE LANE AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES NEED ACCESS. THE MEET WILL BE DELAYED UNTIL WE ARE IN COMPLIANCE**
Team Setup:
The pool deck will open for the visiting team at 5:00. Your team will be on the left side of the pool, near the diving well. Our team will be by the pavilion. Feel free to bring chairs or tents, as shade is limited. Swimmers will stage at the benches by the diving well. See the attached image for further direction.

Concessions:
The concession stand will offer pulled pork, pulled chicken, pizza, chips, candy, and drinks. We prefer cash, but Venmo is accepted.
Theme:
It is required that all swimmers wear their team shirt and team caps (new ones picked up today) for all meets, but especially away meets. This meet does not have a theme so we are going all out with Waverunners spirit!
Stroke Clinic on Fridays:
Per request of the HOA, we will need to move our Friday schedule back to last year's with 9 AM stroke clinics (optional) and 10 AM ribbon pick up/donuts with Coach to be able to clear the pool for resident use by 11 AM. We will have a butterfly stroke clinic this week
Ribbons:
We will do ribbons pick up on Fun Friday and will run it one week behind, as to make it easier for our volunteers to manage it all! Please note: we will only do participation ribbons for 10 & Under swimmers starting this meet. We want our older swimmers to aim for place and time breakers ribbons each week!
Tips & Tricks for Parents:
- SHARPIE! It would be best to write your swimmer’s events, heat & lane number on their arm prior to arriving. Please see the image below as an example.
- FOR OUR LITTLE SWIMMERS, we recommend writing their full name, age, and WAT on their shoulder so that volunteers can easily place them where they need to be. Our littles get nervous, and we do not want them to get lost
- Swimtopia App: The heat sheet and your child's events are available in the app. If you wish to get live results, reminders for events, and other premium features, the app does allow you to upgrade. However, this is not necessary, and having the heat sheet is plenty enough
- Extras! Please bring extras of everything for your swimmers! Goggles, towels, swim caps - you never know when something will break!
