Week 5 Meet Info!
Waverunners,
Please see the email from Eastmont Cove regarding this week's swim meet!
Simple Waverunner Reminders
Tips & Tricks for Parents:
- SHARPIE! It would be best to write your swimmer’s events, heat & lane number on their arm prior to arriving. Please see the image below as an example.
- FOR OUR LITTLE SWIMMERS, we recommend writing their full name, age, and WAT on their shoulder so that volunteers can easily place them where they need to be. Our littles get nervous, and we do not want them to get lost
- Swimtopia App: The heat sheet and your child's events are available in the app. If you wish to get live results, reminders for events, and other premium features, the app does allow you to upgrade. However, this is not necessary, and having the heat sheet is plenty enough
- Extras! Please bring extras of everything for your swimmers! Goggles, towels, swim caps - you never know when something will break!
Info From Eastmont Cove
Address:
3421 Eastpines Way, Snellville GA 30039.
Parking:
The parking lot has 30 spots, 2 being handicap spots; it is small. We will block out 2 spots for your leadership team. We also need a spot for the Koni Ice Truck. Most families will have to park in our neighborhood on only one side of the street so the emergency vehicles can get in. They can park on the side of the road without the signs that say no parking. If you can’t see a sign, look to see where others have parked. It is the right side of the road coming into the neighborhood but the other streets wind around so may be the right or left depending on which way you turned on the street.
Pool area:
Our pool access is to the Right side of the clubhouse from the parking lot; there is a ramp and stairs there. Only computer volunteers will go into the top area of the clubhouse.
Spectator Sitting area
Your team and spectators will be sitting on the closest side of the pool to the pool entrance. It is the bigger side. They can also sit on the side closest to the clubhouse without blocking the stairs. We don’t have a designated area for the bullpen. Perhaps the parents/spectators can sit by the pool and your swimmers can sit in groups behind them. On the other side, we have a pavilion. The right side of the pavilion is our staging area with 5 benches for the swimmers to sit on in order of upcoming events. It is right behind where the starter is. We do ask this area to be more quiet so the starter can hear herself and the Stagers don’t get confused.
Tents, chairs and wagons are welcome.
Warm ups
Home team warms up 5:05 to 5:25. Visiting team warms up 5:25 to 5:45pm. Stroke and Turn judges and Timers meetings are at 5:45 with the meet starting at 6:00pm.
Concessions:
Our concession stand will be on the deck on the right side. We will take Zelle, square and cash.
Sodas, Gatorade, waters
Tortilla chips with cheese dip
Maybe homemade chili
Pizza
hotdogs
Candy
Regular Chips
And pickles
We also will have a Kona Ice Truck that will be in the parking lot for people to enjoy as well.
General Set Up
We will set up our computer station up in the clubhouse top floor. Bathrooms are on the bottom floor (from the pool side through the door into the clubhouse on the left side). Parents and swimmers have access to the pool via ramp/stairs to the right side of the clubhouse, not through the clubhouse.
Heat Sheets
We will not have heat sheets for sale; please encourage your families to access them digitally or print them at home before the meet from the swimtopia app and the email we will send to you with a copy of the heat sheet. The PDF Heat sheet will be sent to you by Tuesday evening or Wednesday.
Inclement Weather
During inclement weather, all swimmers and families must completely clear the pool deck and return to vehicles to safely wait out the weather. Our Make up day, if needed, is Monday.
